Welcome to PSL.net!  The lifestyle in the PSL.net area is pretty laid back. Wherever you are from you soon adapt to the apparent mellowness of the Puget Sound. There can be a lot of intensity underneath this seemly passive demeanor.  This area has changed from being an out of the way corner of the US.  This area was known as the home of Boeing in the 70s and 80s and the grunge rock capital of the 90s and the corporate headquarters for Microsoft, but it is so much more.

After the turn of the millennium we are truly an international city open to the world with the diversity to prove it.  Currently people seem to come here carrying expectations, like luggage, but leave your self open to us and leave any preconceived baggage behind.  Once you get here and meet the residents you may have to unpack those expectations. Sure Puget Sounders can be a bit standoffish and a little overly intellectualized, we have more people per capita with degrees than any other large city in the United States, but the natives are friendly once you get to know them.

So welcome, have a cup of coffee, get out on the water and enjoy the weather, it doesn't rain quite as much as advertised. The thing that remains true about this area is the natural beauty and that it is a great place to visit and wonderful place to live.
